We’re excited to introduce the inspiring women who make the Columbia Chamber of Commerce Women’s Network such a welcoming and valuable community!
1. What is your name, hometown and current role? Rebecca Knipp, Columbia, MO, owner & founder of Optimized CFO + Controller Services
2. Tell us a little about yourself—family, children, pets or anything else you’d like to share. My husband, Jason, and I both went to Mizzou and never left Columbia. We have one daughter, Grace, who is 12 years old and a seventh grader at John Warner Middle School.
3. How would your friends or coworkers describe you? Hardworking, organized, loyal, and probably a little more fun than you’d expect from a CPA.
4. What do you enjoy most about your role or company? I enjoy the variety and different clients we get to work with. No day is the same, so that keeps things exciting.
5. What inspired you to pursue your career, and how did you get started? I have always wanted to be a business owner, having grown up in a family of small business owners. I became interested in accounting and the financial aspects of a business when I competed on the national-winning FFA Farm Business management team from North Callaway.
6. What are you currently reading, watching or listening to? I love reading. I am in the middle of the Inheritance Games series. Have also been watching Ted Lasso Season 4.
7. What recent accomplishment or personal milestone are you proud of? Having Optimized CFO + Controller Services be a finalist for the Small Business of the Year award.
8. What do you value most about being part of Women’s Network? The relationships that can be developed by getting to know other women from mid-Missouri.
9. What is a fun or surprising fact people may not know about you? I enjoy traveling, especially to warmer places. My favorite vacation spot is Marco Island, FL.
10. How can fellow members support, refer or connect with you? Email is probably best ( rebecca@optimizedcfo.com ).
