2. What do you enjoy about your role at your company? Working with customers & coworkers! I get to help on making dreams come true! With my expertise as an interpreter, I often assist in all the different departments and am exposed to all types of customers. Whether they are looking for a personal/business account, CD’s, IRA, HSA, Lending, Annuities, Mortgage, and even travel, if you stop by my department, at Relationship Banking in Downtown, I will make sure you’re taken care of! As assistant for the Classic Club, I get the pleasure of asking “What’s a place in the world that you’d like to visit in your lifetime?”, and they tell me. How often do you get to do that, and actually able to help them achieve it?
3. How did you get started in your career or industry?
Getting to know people. I never thought I’d be in Banking, but through my involvement with WN, some of my current coworkers saw something in me, and that got me here. I am so grateful for the opportunity given to me and love the company I work for, my coworkers, and the work I do! My employer is great at providing learning opportunities, so at my age, I am still learning and growing
4. Currently reading or listening to? Due to recent dietary changes, I am reading “Eat better, not less”, amongst others related to diet. As far as listening, I am always listening to music, all different types!
5. What’s a recent win or moment you’re proud of?
So many highs, not many lows…I just had my fourth anniversary at the bank, completed the Dogwood Development Academy, will be celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary in July, my teen go his permit (watch out for a teal Mazda truck w/permit tag!), etc. Life is good!
6. What do you love most about being part of Women’s Network? The connections that members make are for lifetime! I’ve been part of WN for a decade, and I still hang out with the ladies from my committee, from when I first started. They (WE) become the biggest cheerleaders and want to see each member grow! We celebrate with them and help when needed. We’re not just a network; we show up, we support each other and make things happen!
7. What’s a fun fact people might not know about you? I am full of fun facts, but if you’re ever curious, just ask. I am an open book!
8. How can fellow members support or connect with you?
You can support me by sending me people with financial needs. You can also connect with me at Women’s Network events, CTA events, via email me at sara.riegel@centralbank.net, or LinkedIn – Sara Riegel. Let’s Connect!
